During the pandemic we upgraded our master bedroom. It hadn’t been decorated in over 7 years.... We put a luxury vinyl flooring in, created a larger wardrobe and painted throughout. Using mostly neutrals, warm woods, textured art work and a vintage Italian leather chair to create a calm environment. I painted an old mirror I had from Switzerland in the same colour of the walls.... Here are a few pics from my phone. Fan Hunter from Wayfair Art - dream catcher from Tulum Mexico Mountains cut from metal from Etsy Paint by Jim & Sam Jakab Paintstoreys Decorators white by Benjamin Moore. All doors painted in Balboa Mist - this creates a lovely warm but serine scheme. Fusion Paint in Ash for the chest of drawers with new marble handles from Lee Valley.

Schools are back (kind of - virtually ) so let’s get our creativity going again. After a fabulous family break I’m ready to get going! It’s time to start planning some more exciting interiors projects. ... Over the last few months we’ve been working on our own house. We renovated - on a strict budget, the upstairs of our 1889 farmhouse within the gorgeous historic area of downtown Georgetown, Ontario. We hadn’t touched it in the 7 years we’ve been living here so it was in dire need of an update. Photo’s to follow. Let me know if you’re interested in collaborating on a 2021 design project. Here’s to a wonderful 2021

Current project, soft palest blush on a vintage rocking chair of great sentimental importance. The upholstery fabric here is stain and fade resistant - durable and stress free. Working with this stunning Zoffany linen print. Fabrics are my passion. Great ones enliven a scheme.

In my previous business I created unique chairs like these. This one was selected for a gallery and was shipped all the way to Paris in 2017 for the Paris Design Show! In my current design business I still love to send treasured / good quality frames to be reupholstered. They usually have solid bones and a characterful shape. They were made in a superior way to the chairs you buy in big box stores. ... Looking for one of your chairs to be reinvented? Call or PM me today for a quote. It isn't the cheapest way to have new furniture in your house but people are always delighted with the outcome.

Moody blues and flashes of hot pink in this office / evening entertainment room transformation. Fabrics and artwork really brought this scheme alive... or was it the stunning panelling, or the huge doors? So many elements, it’s hard to decide. Scroll right to see the before images of a dining room that was rearely used.... Pillows and all upholstery are from Emma Doorish Design Vintage Ideas Ltd. Created the HUGE barn doors Paintstoreys are the number 1 choice for any interior and exterior painting requirements.

The dining room next at Project Foxtail. We chose this beautiful paint colour to set the scene for the art work and to tone with the table, rug and chairs that the client already owned. We added a bar cart, custom drapes and round mirror to compete the look. Formal dining rooms can be overlooked - and are so often not used....however this is such a welcoming space now. Also - as it is open / connected to the kitchen it needed to have some personality and reflect the homeow...ners more. We purchased some beautiful artwork on Etsy to reflect more of the clients travels. Sydney, Bruce Peninsular and Mount Bromo in Indonesia now feature. The framing was off the shelf from Michael's and Indigo. Anyone who follows me knows I love to create meaningful schemes to reflect the family who live in the house, I think it's so important. This family were so easy to work with - they trusted in my decisions and I am so happy with how the project transformed their ground floor. Thanks to Jim and Sam for the painting Paintstoreys

This was another recently completed room on Project Foxtail - We replaced the sofa in this beautiful piano room and painted the wainscotting in a deep green colour. We took the colour scheme from the map the homeowners already had. The sofa is custom made by Emma Doorish Design with brass legs and custom pillows. The chair is from Article, rug is from Wayfair, coffee table is from West Elm. Custom drapes complete the look. It's a really serene room now, the pillows comple...ment the scheme without being matching. Stick with a colour scheme and there is no need matching pillows, just change the size up instead and use the rule of differently sized prints where you complement larger patterns with smaller to stop them competing. Again credit to Jim and Sam for their fantastic work painting. Paintstoreys
