Introducing one of our speakers for this Friday’s event: Shehna Javeed Shehna is a higher education professional who works at the University of Toronto Scarbo...rough (UTSC). She is an academic advisor and a learning strategist, who works closely with students to help them overcome challenges and see their own potential. As a Speaker at TEDxUTSC 2019, she connected with the audience through speaking about her own intersectional identity and told powerful stories of the students that she interacts with. Shehna enjoys writing for professional associations and has published on topics such as motivation & resiliency, and academic integrity. She has presented at conferences on professional ethics and advising. Currently, she co-leads the Staff and Faculty Women’s Writing Circle at UTSC which is an equity initiative. She has volunteered for PanAm/ParapanAm Games, engages with her local political candidates and contributes to volunteer organizations that focus on mentorship and advocacy work. Last year, she was featured on the 150neighbours celebrating Canada website. She is a strong collaborator and believes in working on ideas that impact growth and change. With a 25 year career to propel her forward, she is now also a part-time faculty member at Centennial College.

Introducing another speaker for this Friday’s event: Danielle Smith Danielle Smith keeps her hands full as a Personal Development Writer, Speaker & Event Cura...tor, all while doing her most important job as a full-time mama of one. With over 10 years of experience in the corporate sector she has since left and built a life she loves. She has been writing professionally for 3 years nowhaving written for BossBabe and xoNecole aa some of the notable brands, while aggressively working to self-publish in the months to come. Marching to the beat of her own drum and a playlist of her favourite 90s R&B, she’s blazed a path of her own. When Danielle isn’t penning her life away, you can find her catching up on the latest Shonda Rhimes suspense. See more

Introducing our final speaker for this Friday's event: Sheila Goldgrab Sheila Goldgrab is a seasoned executive coach with over 25 years coaching leaders. She... works with executives, high potential talent and start up founders. She’s conducted original research on facilitated mentoring programs in the workplace, trained mentors and mentees, and mentors many students at the University of Toronto year over year. Recognized several times for coaching excellence by the International Coach Federation, Sheila makes a difference by combining creative thinking with innovative signature tools to keep leaders ahead of changing demands. Committed to greater gender equality in the workplace, Sheila’s worked to close the salary gap at Ontario’s Pay Equity Commission when the legislation was first passed. More recently, she supports women leaders to appreciate the contribution they make in the work they do through a gendered lens. She also runs a sticky habit group for women who want to change their habits that got them to where they are at work, but won’t necessarily get them further. She also leads Give & Get which began as a city-building series of monthly events. It’s now a service for businesses with leaders across groups in the enterprise to facilitate trust quickly for divergent thinking.
