Meet the Team Tuesday Helping people has always been a priority for Shannon, and she couldn’t think of a better way to do that then through partnering people with horses. Horses have been a part of her life since before she can remember, and have gotten her through some of the toughest obstacles in her journey. Growing up the daughter of a race horse trainer, she knew very early on horses were her passion, but never imagined she would be able to live her dream of building a ...career with them. After graduating from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Agriculture, Shannon made the move from Manitoba to Saskatchewan where she calls home today. Shannon is working towards her diploma in Equine Sciences from the University of Guelph, as well as her Mentorship with the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association to become a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor. She is an Equestrian Canada Certified Instructor, a Certified Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator, and Certified Equi-Health Canada First Aid Instructor. Shannon believes strongly in giving back to her community, and has spent the last number of years volunteering her time with many different organizations. She is the proud mom of two amazing boys, a cancer survivor and thriver, and feels blessed to be living her best life.

We are excited to have our very own radio advertisement starting tomorrow on Beach Radio CK 750, part of the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group! This is a new way for us to reach people to let them know about what we are all up to over here! And we would love it if you happen to hear it on the radio if you just drop a thumbs up in the comments!

So today.......we stepped waaaaay outside our comfort zone and put our IT skills to the test! We taught our first virtual Equine First Aid Theory class to a group of amazing ladies from Alberta! Does it replace in person? NO... But is it a temporary solution to a problem? YES We can't wait until we can travel west!

These two guys are the driving force behind this massive undertaking! Without Dean and John there would be no building! We are the sidekicks that have gained an immense appreciation for the skills they possess, and have in the process learned a thing or two ourselves! ... We have decided to stick with horses and not carpentry after the arena is done!

Nail by nail and board by board the arena is coming together! Not to mention with A LOT of help from friends and family and local businesses that are providing the materials we need! Thank you to Halland Logs and Lumber north of Love, Saskatchewan for delivering all the lumber for the kickwall for this building.

A little progress each day adds up to big results! Slowly but surely things are coming together, and we were able to check off another major job yesterday with the ceiling insulation! A big thank you to Dentech Interiors for helping us out and of course Dean and John who this building would not be possible without!

As we move closer to saying goodbye to 2020, we choose to look back at all the amazing people and opportunities we've had! Meet Isabelle! This young lady has been with us since the beginning, and we could be any more proud of all that she has accomplished in that time. This girl is full on horse crazy! And she likes to go fast! Here she is showing off her very own ceramic creations that she painted this Christmas that were part of the gift certificate for lessons she received for Christmas. We can't wait to have her back in the arena this January and help her along her journey with horses!

After taking a brief break for Christmas we are back at it! The herd has had a nice break after fall programs, but will be back at it before we know it! That means getting back in shape and ready for a fabulous year to come!

Horses have a lot to teach us, if we let them! By partnering with a horse in our hands on learning program they can help your child to learn valuable life skills that can be paralleled back to their everyday life! Building Relationships ... Communication Problem Solving Negotiation Teamwork Articulation Leadership And soooooo much more! If you have a child who could benefit from developing those skills, or who just loves horses our Youth Leadership Program may be just want they need!

2020 has been a challenge for everyone! We have all been forced to learn new ways of doing everyday tasks, and to think outside of the box! Kids have been especially impacted this year with the change to their normal routines, being unable to participate in some activities and not being able to spend time with friends and family! If you have a child in your life that would benefit from improved self-confidence and self-esteem, navigating challenging situations and ...learning to become an independent thinker and leader for themselves, consider having them spend some quality time in the arena! We take the learning outside of the classroom and into our brand new indoor, heated arena where the horses are the teachers! Yes, you read that correctly! Here the horses are the teachers! We are set for another session of Rookie Riders for January 2021! This program is a great introduction to horses that incorporates proper horsemanship as well as physical literacy and fundamental movements! This one hour program runs for five weeks and will utilize our Equestrian Canada specifically designed barrel, games, real life horses, and take home materials in our brand new indoor facility! ... We are excited to start planning our 2021 year and say goodbye to 2020! The herd has had a great break, but they are ready to get back to helping people of all ages learn to ride! We will be running Private and Semi-Private lessons starting the end of January in our brand new indoor arena! ... It's supper time on the farm! And new hay bales are on the menu garnished with our new Sherwood Bale Nets from #primeequine! Hi Ho Silver may be missing his kids, but definitely not missing any meals! These nets help to mimic a horses natural grazing behavior and help to prevent waste!
