Hello everyone, this note is to let you know that EMS Plumbing Services is still operating but at a limited level for the next few weeks while Covid-19 takes the wind out of our sails. If we have been in recent contact by email or message, then your plumbing is likely looked after already, yay! I still have a couple of off season projects that I am finishing up but then I will be getting fully into my seasonal start-ups.... I am still planning to open the cottages that I have access to, as the weather permits but I'd like to request that I have a chance to get in and do that a couple of days before the building is occupied or before you plan to arrive. I am limiting personal interactions with customers for the foreseeable future. That said, if you normally have to be on site when I arrive, I respectfully ask that we make some other arrangements. Please reply here to discuss how that will work best for you. Thank you for your understanding and I look forward to seeing all of my customers personally soon! Now, here's a lovely rainbow from my backyard ;)

TP or facial tissues ONLY, folks! Nothing else is 'flushable' except your 'personal' deposits! Help those that help you and this will save a lot of time, money and personal frustration.

Hey folks, here's a few from a local project that's been keeping me fairly busy since last fall. The fella in the orange shirt (Jamie from Lang's Construction) was kind enough to give you a GQ construction pose :D

Old Man Winter has tightened his grip on Bruce County this weekend! EMS is caught up on all the seasonal shutdown work and is moving steadily along with the NEW Walker House commercial kitchen project. With that job and a few others, there will be lots to do this winter!

Summer is swimming right along here in Sunny Southampton. That said, I've done a few outdoor shower installations this year. A great way to cool off quick or just to add a simple solution for extra showering facilities when you have that big group up for a visit. Each one is custom designed to the owners specs, accenting or blending with their exterior finishes...have a look, maybe we can build you one too!

Still a good amount of ice along the lake-shore this spring! This vid is from up towards Oliphant but there's plenty of similar ice walls all along the shore from here to Southampton! May be a while before we can start hooking up cottages that draw water from the lake :(

Good Morning all! Just a note to let you know that EMS's phone lines are out of commission for the moment. Tech has been dispatched to remedy the condition so, we will be unable to receive or return calls for the interim. Thank you for your patience!

Brrrr! Just a note to all my customers to keep an eye on the thermometer! We've had quite a few calls for frozen pipes. The simplest thing to do is open your cabinet doors (kitchens/baths etc) where the piping may be close to exterior walls and let that heat get in there. IF you do have a freeze up, all is not lost! Quite often placing a heater towards the frozen pipe will thaw it out without any breaks.

With our area currently experiencing extremely cold temperatures, water lines may be at risk of freezing. For pipes with a high risk of freezing, please conside...r implementing the following tips immediately: Run the cold water tap through this cold snap. The stream should be the size of a pencil lead. You will be responsible for the cost of water used, but this may prevent larger plumbing expenses, and keep the pipes from freezing. Open kitchen, bathroom and laundry room cabinet doors (where pipes are located) to allow warmer air to circulate around the plumbing. Please note, the Town of Saugeen Shores is not responsible for frozen water lines on private property. For more tips and information visit, https://bit.ly/2FP8zuc
