Covid-19 & Massage Therapy On May 27th, the Ontario government had announced Massage Therapists are allowed to begin a gradual restart of services. The Ontario government, Ministry of Health and RMT governing body (CMTO) have mandated new guidelines for safe clinic operation and safe treatment. ... These new guidelines and protocol will allow us to ensure everyone is safe during these unprecedented times. This means new scheduling, signage, procedures and measures to ensure the health and well-being of who comes to the clinic. I am preparing to open, but there is no date of the re-opening just yet. And, it may still be some time as we wait for equipment. Clinics will be opening at different times based on: #1 The size of the clinic and the number of staff (larger staff = more coordination necessary) #2 Having all personal protective equipment (ppe), signage, and screening protocols in place #3 Whether the practitioners feel comfortable and safe to work at this time.
