I have been an elite athlete my whole life. I started springboard platform diving competitively at age 5, and moved to rugby at age 13. After I graduated high school, and decided to play for UVIC, my future in rugby looked very bright. However, 2 years ago, in my first year on the team, I suffered I terrible shoulder dislocation that took me out for the season. I rehabbed hard with physio and strength programs, I and felt good to come back the following May. I was good for a... while, but a freak incident in training put my should right back to the beginning. After much deliberation I decided to take the surgical route, and got a bankart repair in February 2019. Initially, rehab was going really well. Then in the summer of 2019, I really started to plateau. My shoulder felt strange and uncomfortable all the time. My Doctor did not have any solid answers as to why this might be happening and told me to just give it more time. At this time in my life, by chance I heard about Lindsay and what she was doing with pemf therapy. I felt I had nothing else to try so I gave it a chance. Going to the first appointment was a little nerve racking, but meeting Lindsay put me completely at ease. She was extremely comforting and informative about this technology. After the first two treatments I felt the pemf may be starting to work, but I was not certain. Lindsay then offered to rent me the equipment at a very fair price so I could try it for a week. About part way into the week, I could not believe how normal my should felt, and I couldn't remember the last time it hadn't bothered me for such a long period of time. I was overjoyed with the results, as now I could finally start really strengthening my shoulder without aggravating it. Since then I have rented the equipment again, and I hope to be back to contact in a month. The machine is really easy to use, and Lindsay is very helpful in demonstrating how it all works. I truly believe I would not be in the level of rehab I am today without pemf therapy and I am deeply grateful to Lindsay for introducing me to this amazing technology.
