Meet Our Staff Rod started out in Civil Engineering at the University of New Brunswick, however soon after he surrendered his life to Christ he enrolled at Kingswood University and graduated with his B.A. in Religion in 1981. After planting a church in Brampton, he and Joy (Silfwerbrand) KU ’80, served with Global Partners for the next 22 years as missionaries in Colombia and as a Regional Director for the Hispanic Caribbean area. Rod served as lead pastor of Woods Harbour W...esleyan Church in Southwest Nova Scotia for eight years. Presently Rod also works at Kingswood University as Campus Pastor and with Alumni. Their three children, Heather(Jeff Vitaris) Greenville, SC - AJ (Shea) Quispamsis, NB and David (Cheyenne) Havelock, NB are all grown and married and provide 3 wonderful grandkids to spoil and dote on. Here’s a glimpse of what we will be talking about over the next few weeks: It wasn’t the sinners that Jesus took issue with in the gospels. Rather, it was the religious leaders. In Jesus’ time on Earth, He wasn’t interested in token gestures. He didn’t care about outward behaviour. He shook up anyone whose faith was lukewarm, and He br...ought hope to the broken, the lost, and those tangled in sin by showing them what true worship could be. Our in-person services have a max capacity of 150 people socially distanced. We ask that you pre-register online for our 9:30 and 11:00am services.
