Comfort zone vs Stretch zone vs Stress zone The fear of moving and seeing the obstacle as an insurmountable mountain puts you in the stress zone. How do you eat an elephant?... One small bite at a time. If you don’t know what to do, then find out what to do. Read, listen and associate with people who know. Once you know take 1 step you learned add it to your daily routine. The stretch zone not the stress zone. Don’t worry if it’s just the right thing to choose just try it. Move forward. Journal your results. Repeat. It’s like having a basement full of stuff. It’s out of sight so we don’t worry about it. Until one day you decide it’s time to renovate. Oh my gosh, there is so much stuff we just dumped there as we didn’t want to deal with it. The old blender in case our new one broke. When the old one broke we bought a new one. Get rid of the old one. Memories, take a picture you can look at anytime rather than keeping it in a box you never look at. How do you start? Use the pomodoro technique take 15 mins decide on maybe a box you will work on or a section. Just work on it for 15 mins. It’s getting started and eventually the 15 mins adds up to climbing what you thought was an insurmountable mountain. It’s the same with exercise, just show up at the same time everyday whether you feel like it. Doing something is better than nothing. Congratulate yourself. Eventually the amazing feeling you get from exercise will take over and you will crave it. You can do it. If you need help, I am here for you. We can do it together, one step at a time.
