What you see here is Priscilla Soriano @prisassin achieving her first chin-up, Celia Chiang @celialifeofliberty hitting her first false-grip chin-ups, and @trev_nolan hitting a PR double for his ring muscle-up. All amazing accomplishments for sure! What you don’t see here are the other attributes they developed as they trusted and trained the process to achieving the physical accomplishments shown in these clips. When we talk about training at Engineered Bodies, we ...talk about training your body AND mind because the lessons learned in how we approach the training process can be applied to every aspect of your life. Think about it What value does being able to perform a strict ring muscle up or having a sub 4-min Fran time bring as it pertains to caring for your newborn baby? Or to your software development teammates at work as you work overtime to meet that deadline? Or to your relationship with your significant other? Most likely nothing But, if you learn to approach training as a lifelong means to improve yourself as a whole, and not be attached to the physical, you can realize the other attributes that you’ll develop in the process. Attributes like perseverance, resilience, patience, and empathy (for yourself and perhaps others). It is these attributes that can be applied to enhance every aspect of your life. #wednesday #wednesdaywisdom #coach #onerepatatime #strength #training #selfimprovement #selfmastery See more
