When you can't buy parts, you make them. #engineeringchallengeyeg What do you think these parts were used for at the Engineering Day of Caring??
Thank you to the ENGGYAC members for their amazing work for the 14th #EngineeringChallengeYEG Building community. Building citizens.
It's the 14th annual Engineering Challenge Day of Caring! Every year, a group of dedicated engineers from firms across the city come together with United Way to... do some local good for an organization here in the Edmonton region. This year, the crews built a beautiful new community garden & relaxing outdoor space at CMHA Edmonton's Northern Arms residence. The COVID-19 pandemic presented some obstacles, but the 75 volunteers were up to the challenge. Stay tuned to see the finished project! See more
Bins By Jo has been an ongoing supporter of the Engineering Day of Caring. This year is no different. Your services are so much needed to keep the workspaces safe for our volunteers. They also have porta-potties. In the midst of covid19, this was a much needed service. https://www.binsbyjo.com

The rock has been transported . And it’s not being transported back In just under a week, the 14th Engineering Day of Caring will be underway and 65 volunteers will be divided into small groups to develop a new outdoor living space for the Northern Arms Residence - CMHA, Housing Program. Really promoting positive health, socialization, and nurturing for these residents as they are exponentially challenged through our COVID19 pandemic. #engineeringchallengeYEG #dolocalgood #...locallove United Way of the Alberta Capital Region Canadian Mental Health Association - Edmonton
IT’S OFFICIAL!!!!!!
2020 has challenged us in ways we didn’t see coming. And in light of the effects it has had on our community, collectively working together is more important than ever to act, create change, and provide safety. The Engineering Challenge committee is committed to positively impact our most vulnerable community in our most vulnerable time. Stay connected because they will soon be announcing the 2020 Engineering Day of Caring project for the fall... and we’re going to need your help
Do you have bottles to recycle? Operation Friendship Seniors Society (OFSS) is collecting!!!
Thank you The Growlery Beer Co. for hosting our guests. Your space is amazing and your beer is even better. Looking forward to partnering with you on more initiatives in the future Thank you Kevin, Brewmaster Matthew, and Lindsay.
A great night was had to reunite with volunteers and committee members in the engineering challenge. What an accomplishment in actively working in our community with our funded agencies and collectively raising over $1.9M through your campaigns!!
Women in Engineering. The number of women who came out to the past United Way of the Alberta Capital Region Engineering Day of Caring is a testament that we’re on the right track. 28 of the 70 volunteers were women who showed up and got to work Today we are celebrating the progress and strides made to ensuring women are equally represented. There’s more work to be done and confident we will get there. #IWD2020
