This is a big shout out to all of Bowen Islands Commuters. We are proud to say that yesterday June 7th the Bowen Belle once again had record ridership not only for the day but also the week and most likely the month. Most importantly the ridership has been much more consistent than in years past. We have been operating our commuter services since 2009 and have studied and learned alot about Bowens needs for this much needed service to improve commuting to work from Bowen Isl...and. Ken, Wendy Shannon and myself would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for your support but most importantly open the discussion on how to take this to the next level. The most obvious choice will be to employ our vessel "Bruno". Keep in mind our huge numbers lately on the Belle will still be a light load on Bruno as Bruno takes triple the capacity. The big question is.....will the Bruno with its added comfort bring in new clientel? Lets hear your thoughts. See more

Skipper Ken just sent me this clip of his trip from Coal Harbour to Snug tonight from his new GoPro camera. He mounted onto the roof of the Belle. Yesterday he had a pod of orcas pop up just 20 feet from the boat at Point Atkinson! Ken just called me to report 71 fares on the day again. A perfect day with full "dead head" runs is 72 so only one short of a perfect day! Thank you everyone. With this kind of support the Bruno becomes more likely to make its Bowen Debut
