This weekend finished reading "Team of Rivals" by Doris Kearns Goodwin. It is the incredible story of the political life of Abraham Lincoln and it is the best book on leadership I have ever read, largely because it is not about leadership but merely chronicles one of the best examples of it ever...leadership delivered in the face of constant and unrelenting criticism in Lincoln's own day.

I can't believe no one in Canada had taken www.hockeylaw.ca...it's mine now. He shoots, he scores!!

Reading "Good to Great". A book recommended by Don Hay a couple of years ago at the Kamloops conference. It has taken a while to get to it, but so far it is fantastic. It has obvious relevance to any business or team or other venture, but how to apply it to my own business is going to take some careful thought and action.

Fantastic weather in Vancouver promises Kamloops is going to be hot this weekend at the annual KMHA coaching conference. Should be another great conference as we reach the midpoint of the calm before the storm of tryouts and next year's MML season.

Spring is definitely in the air--at least, the "cautious optimism" of January to March seems to have caught hold and turned into just plain optimism and with it, people and companies seem to be moving forward again with all manner of new projects.
