Kicking off #NationalEngineeringMonth #NEM2021 by recognizing all the #engineers that are working hard to make the world a better place. What's the ONE thing you love most about #engineering? For us....it's that engineers get to turn ideas into REALITY!... Tell us your fav's below
When was the first time you heard the word "engineer"? If we can sharpen our focus on the E in STEM education, and we're more deliberate about how we message engineering, then the next generation of engineers will have a better idea of what to expect. Who knowsif we do a better job talking about engineering, maybe we’ll even encourage those kids who would never have considered it to give it a try??... At Engineers of Tomorrow, we believe in the power of storytelling. Specifically, we want to amplify BETTER stories about engineering. They’re out there! We just need to turn the dial to the E in STEM and crank up the volume! Got a great engineering story that needs to be heard? Find out more and and how you can help at engineersoftomorrow.ca

#engineers LOVE to solve problems. Doesn't matter how big or small... So, we couldn't pass up #trainyourbrainday - a day dedicated so solving puzzles, and getting our brains working!... Yassss! Thought it might be fun to do some brain teasers.....comment below with the answers! 1. What are the next three letters in the following sequence? J, F, M, A, M, J, J, A, __, __, __. 2. Imagine that you are in a boat, in the middle of the sea. Suddenly, you are surrounded by hungry sharks, just waiting to feed on you. How can you put an end to this? 3. What can be seen once in a minute, twice in a moment, and never in a thousand years? 4. Which tire doesn’t move when a car turns right? Get curious and have some fun today!
This month we are joined by our friend, Marilyn Spink for our second EoT Lunch and Learn. Marilyn is an award-winning professional engineer and expert in metallurgical & mining processes, having spent over 25 years managing the delivery of complex mine development projects throughout the world. Today, she lends her considerable know how leading an advisory practice, GS Group, serving as a trusted advisor to a wide range of global clients. As engineers, we spend a lot of time ...thinking about processes, budgets, project management, deadlines....and we can start to feel a little disconnect from, well, our profession! So, we've invited Marilyn to chat with us about the engineering profession & self regulation. We hope you'll join us in the conversation and take some time for yourself to re-connect to your engineering identity!

We spend A LOT of time talking about how engineering outreach is about MORE than just the activity you chose. Which is why we can still create positive engineering experiences for kids....even during a global pandemic! Read more on the blog about HOW you can do this. https://buff.ly/3cCv97w
Hundreds of #engineers have donated their valuable time We need some financial support too. Read more to find sponsor options, and how you can support! https://buff.ly/2RNL1KK
Kids are back in school. And we're bummed that we can't be there with them! But, we can continue to create positive #engineering experiences for students. The EIR Program has gone virtual! https://buff.ly/3iC8TwN
Teachers! Wondering if you can still do the EIR program this year? Short answer: YES! Here’s how...https://buff.ly/35h6tjj
Feeling a little out of sorts with all the uncertainty at the moment? We hear ya! DYK that giving back is a great way to connect, and feel more grounded! Yup! Here's how we do that at EoT https://buff.ly/3lwOyLp
