Enhance Basketball Academy

Enhance basketball has been the spark to my old basketball flame and the fire continues to grow as we move forward. Working with Coach Blain is made easy. Especially when you see the dedication for his craft and how he truly appreciates how he can give back to his city through the game that he loves. In an age where "the right way" of playing is looked at from so many different lenses, coach does a great job of teaching the technical skills and the "why" behind the movement...s. - When it comes to putting in work with the kids I've enjoyed being able to share my personality and energy with them and allow them to feel comfortable. I think they feed off of it and it allows me to get more of a sense for who each player is individually and tailor how to coach them. - Its been great seeing the growth of my players games and the skill sets that they continue to develop, and I look forward to building on the foundations we've already laid. I’m a way better coach/trainer than I was a player, I feel like I’m doing what I was intended to be doing with my life. Looking at my parents who are 5’7 and 5’10 I wasn’t supposed to be 6’5 but feel God had other plans for me. - When I started Enhance Basketball I wanted to be able to use my experiences of being overlooked, cut from teams,coming off the bench in university as ways to teach and motivate. I didn’t allow these things to define me so I WORKED to become one... of the best players in western Canada, came back the next year made the same team that cut me the year before & being the second leading scorer on a @ubc_mbb team that finished 2nd in the nation back to back years. - These same lessons I learnt then, allows me and our coaches the ability to relate with players trying to improve today. - Lastly I never understood I would be in a position to mentor which Is amongst the things I’ve embraced and enjoyed the most - Blain LaBranche Director of Enhance Basketball
