I'm asked all the time why I use the "realized value" method of valuations. Frankly, I believe it's the most professionally accurate method to determine actual value. If you've ever come across the term "realized value" and wondered what that is, in a nutshell, it is what someone is willing to pay for an item, despite its value or lack of value. "Realizable value is the net amount of money that you will get from selling one of your assets. In other words, realizable value is equal to the sale price of an asset less any applicable fees. Note that this has nothing to do with the fair market value of the asset being sold."
