very insightful conversation with Winnipeg OG mural legend Charlie Johnston (@C5Charlie). One of my favourite artists of all times, his work can be seen in nearly every corner of the Peg (where i grew up), and was one of the big reasons i eventually got into large scale painting. Charlie...when you going to write that book?? it all starts with him tattooing his forehead with a sharpie... This is an ongoing artist interview series...stay tuned as we explore the challenge of... protecting and sustaining our cultural ecosystem during the COVID crisis. COLLAB-19 is an act of solidarity, through the simple process of drawing together in this time of isolation and insecurity. https://charliejohnston.ca/ https://www.facebook.com/c5charliejohnston #collab19 #evolve #adapt #sharedcreativity #collaboration #digitaldrawing #CharlieJohnston

Tomorrow, 1pm EST, an IG TV conversation with Jonathan Bergeron, aka @johnnyCrap, French-Canadian artist living under the shadow of mount real. JC an exceptional illustrator made a name in the Kustom Kulture and Lowbrow art circles, sharpening his teeth on pinups and hot rods art. Very excited to catch up with this cat in order to find out what’s up in this time of quarantine with his practice as an artist and as a family man. A rousing conversation with Robbie Lariviere (aka @FallDownG), about the state of affairs in Canada’s capital city, Ottawa. Relatively new to EM, Robbie is a highly active figure in the urban arts community, having spread his brand of black and white love far and wide, on nearly every surface imaginable.
