My friend and amazing Physio, Sarah Hamanashi, (who also happens to be a super talented Creative) dropped off some custom vinyl pillow covers she made for our clinic! This Pandemic has brought changes to how clinics operate, and switching to vinyl pillows was one of them... but now we’ve got durable & aesthetically pleasing ones in the colours of our choice! Anyone who’s interested in these, check out her new IG @cleancovers_yvr
Rebecca Lee has been a vital part of our team at Envision for years, but she’s moved back to Calgary to be closer to family (for us) If you are in Calgary, or have friends or family there who need a great Physio, she can now be found @360brainbody . - good luck Rebecca!
Envision wants to welcome Sports Physiotherapist Masumi Turnbull to the team. He came to us from Fortius in Burnaby. Also congrats to Katie Wnuk now @the.physiolab and Erik Torchia @eatphysio now at @eastvansportsrehab to name a few fine sports physios!
Happy Holidays! we were inspired by the creativity of Jayna from paintedplanet.org to do some Physio outdoors! (swipe to see the rest)
Envision Physiotherapy now offers timely access to pelvic floor physiotherapy services with the addition of five experienced pelvic floor physiotherapists led by Marcy Dayan. As of March 1st, Dayan Physiotherapy & Pelvic Floor clinic moved to join the Envision team and expand their services to help people with incontinence, pelvic pain, organ prolapse, painful intercourse and more. Our physiotherapists are trained to perform internal exams, use EMG biofeedback and real-time... ultrasound to help you reconnect with your pelvic floor muscles in a positive way. Our pelvic floor physiotherapists are also trained to fit pessaries, an internal device to help stop incontinence and support organ prolapse for women as well as the Contino insert for male leaky bladder issues. Our team consists of Marcy Dayan, Anna Hudon-Kaide, Michelle Soh, Dikla Barer and Kari Anne Mracek. You can learn more about our Pelvic Health Services by visiting our Envision Pelvic Health
The Studio at Envision @studio_at_envision is a beautiful personal training space right on the False Creek sea wall. Trainers and Kinesiologists work with their clients in a socially distanced environment to help them reach their fitness goals in a professional, clean and safe space. Having a team of physiotherapists and trainers work right next door to each other, but within the same space, provides an excellent environment for collaboration. The Studio at Envision and Envision Physio work together to support clients through their journey as needed. We are a multidisciplinary team that allows clients to pick their path through rehabilitation to fitness. Go to www.envisionphysio/services/personal-training to learn more. ...sorry, old pic: no masks
Nutritional Counselling with Registered Dietitians at Envision Physiotherapy . Vancouver Dietitians @vancouverdietitians provide our clients with nutritional counselling at both Envision clinics and online. We recognize that a proper diet can help improve healing, decrease inflammation and improve general wellbeing, but many people don’t know how to alter their eating habits in order to help themselves. Alex, Stephanie or Soleina can meet with you to discuss your needs and help figure out a plan that works best for you. ...to learn more go to www.envisionphysio.com/services/nutrition or to book an appointment go to http://envisionphysio.janeapp.com
Massage Therapy at Envision False Creek John Tai has been a great addition to our team over the past year at our Envision Physiotherapy False Creek office. He is a very experienced therapist that combines deep tissue, visceral-fascial manipulation and craniosacral approaches into an effective therapeutic massage. We have had great feedback from our clients and trust his skills to help keep you moving. Tracy Barber Joins Envision Physiotherapy ! Tracy Barber has been a physiotherapist in Vancouver for over 25 years and helped open and operate Seva, Salus and Balance Physiotherapy clinics. She was the clinician that Brent referred clients to for IMS dry needling before he completed his training with Dr Chan Gunn at iSTOP in 2008. Tracy decided to step out of her ownership role this summer and come join our multidisciplinary team at Envision False Creek where she re...unites with Judy Russell and Marcy Dayan (all past therapists at Jericho Physio). Tracy has an easy going personality that fits right in at Envision. She primarily uses IMS dry needling and exercise with her clients to help keep them moving. Tracy is also an adjunct professor at UBC, helping to prepare our future physiotherapists. Go to www.envisionphysio.com/our-team to read more about, or to book an appointment with Tracy
The Movement Studio Pilates instructors have a studio at our Envision South Granville clinic and are trained to work one-on-one as rehab assistants to our physiotherapists. Clinical Pilates is a process that starts with one of our physiotherapists for assessment and treatment, followed by a referral to work in a supervised setting for clients to work on their body awareness, core strength, breathing and posture. The Pilates instructor and the physiotherapist maintain an open line of communication to help clients reconnect with their bodies. Here’s Karen @themovementstudiopilates and Tiffany, @rockstarballerina who now has her own studio! To learn more go to http://www.envisionphysio.com/services/pilates
The maple leaf represents Canada. The boot represents the hundreds of thousands of Canadians who have traded in their civilian shoes for combat boots to serve in times of war, military conflict and peace.
We are excited to announce the addition of Shane Trudell and Hart Caplan to the Envision Physiotherapy team.Collectively they have formed Nightingale Counselling at our South Granville clinic to help provide guidance to people with emotional and cognitive stressors related to trauma, relationships and life in general. As physiotherapists, we help guide people through the rehabilitation and recovery process from pain and injury, but this journey is very much a combination o...f physical and mental challenges. Some people need more help on the physical side of the process while others have more of an emotional driver, so we feel that we have filled a big hole in our team by adding two clinical counsellors that can help our clients and our therapists get to the root of the problem. Shane and Hart offer a free thirty-minute introductory session to allow a person to assess if they think they have found the right fit to help them. They have also written a blog of interesting articles related to psychotherapy that may help you understand the process further. Check out the www.nightingalecounselling.com Website to learn more about clinical counselling at Envision Physiotherapy.
In trying to keep the maximum number of people in the clinic down, we’ve kept some rooms offline. It’s but necessary... but it does make for good bike parking. ...Take Care, Stay Safe!

Envision Physio launched their new website in July 2019 to showcase their new False Creek office, their South Granville clinic and their multidisciplinary team.
BC has done well, thanks to good guidance and commitment from our citizens. It’s easy to lose focus and become too lax, so please, as we lessen restrictions and move forward, let’s keep being smart and staying safe. Thanks Team!
With the new class of UBC Physical Therapy Masters students, just getting underway, we are just finishing prepping to help build their foundations in anatomy. Some of our therapists will be assisting in teaching in-person courses while some will be entirely online. Its an unprecedented time but, like everyone else on the planet, we will adapt!
It’s so nice to be back at work, in our new normal! ..... and special thanks to all the physios and clinics in the city, working together to help us all. You are special people!

Looking back on 2019, it has been nice to appreciate the other clinics and clinicians we work with. Prior to Envision, I spent most of my time @west4thphysiotherapy working under Matt Powell, and many of us have worked with or trained under @dianeleept . We currently have Physios also working at @mainstreetphysio, @west4thphysiotherapy, @myodetox oak st. and Dayan Physio. So great to be a part of this community in a helping profession. Heres to health and happiness! Happy New Year

Happy Halloween! These students are pure gold!
Great discussion about the disconnect between research and practice at World Congress of Sports Physio. How do we get researchers asking the right (clinically relevant) questions, disseminating the valid information, and making our patients better. And avoiding the mass of misinformation being marketed online at the same time
Great concussion course yesterday! The rest of this World Congress gets going today! Amazed by my local colleagues @spc2019 @sportphysiocanada
When 1st year Masters of Physical Therapy students ask, why do we need to know what these muscle do? The supra- and infra- hyoid muscles are important in positioning the hyoid bone, and key in the biomechanics of vocalization. This is important for treating singers, actors and performers.
Years ago, UBC Physical Therapy wanted a student clinic... finally, its here! Grand Opening today! Proud to see it up and running, great work UBC Physical Therapy, Faculty of Medicine, and to Karen Sauve, Edwin Betinol, Melissa Idle @ubcphysioclinic
