The next EPIC coach we want to introduce is Aidhana! Aidhana was the very first coach to join our team, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have her. Aidhana is a Grade 11 student at CCI in Cobourg. She has been in the sport of gymnastics for 8 years, beginning as a Recreational athlete, then a Demo athlete, and finally a Competitive athlete. She loves coaching because she loves working with kids. She is also an active theatre performer, appearing in many productions with V...OS. Her hobbies include singing, playing music, baking, and activism. Things are starting to feel spooky here at EPIC...and you’re invited to join the fun! This Halloween, bring your child to EPIC as part of their Trick-or-Treat evening. They will participate in a fun, not-too-scary obstacle course, with a goody bag at the end! With 4 different treat options, we should have something to suit all dietary needs. Costumes are highly encouraged!! ... This event is FREE for our members ($2 for non-members). We will have 15 minute time windows from 2:30pm-7:00pm. Please register in advance, as each time block will be limited to 10 kids. We ask that you arrive within your scheduled time, as we will be unable to accommodate early/late arrivals due to necessary cleaning and safety protocols. FITNESS INSTRUCTOR ANNOUNCEMENT! Wondering what our NIA, Power Hips, and Vinyasa Flow classes are all about? They are the passion of our Fitness Instructor Elizabeth Kiser! Elizabeth became involved in physical fitness following two major events in her family: her mother fell and broke her hip at age 63 which had a negative impact on her active lifestyle, as well as the premature birth of her sons, one of whom was low-muscle toned and did not walk on his own until age 2.5. ...Because of these events, Elizabeths interest in physical fitness was born. A former studio owner, Elizabeth is a certified Vinyasa Flow Yoga teacher with 200/YT. She is also certified in Level 2 Mat Pilates, as well as NIA Technique, of which she holds a Black Belt. Congruent to this is her certification in Five Stages of Healing and Yoga Therapy. Energetic, Free-Spirited, as well as a Task Master, Elizabeth wants you to be the BEST you can be for yourself = Self-Love & Self-Respect. However, lets face it, if youre not having fun, then youre not likely to stick with something, even if its good for you. DANCE TEACHER ANNOUNCEMENT! We are thrilled to announce another one of our dance teachers, especially one of such high caliber. Please welcome...Miss Katie! Katie grew up in Kansas studying all forms of dance and artistic expression at ArtisTree school for the arts. She later went on to train at the National Ballet School's full-time program in Toronto, the Burklyn Ballet Theatre of Vermont and graduated from the Virginia School of the Arts. She has taught classical ballet to... all levels and ages for over twenty years in Kansas, Vermont and locally at Premiere Dance Cobourg. Katie loves sharing the artistic and technical side of dance with her students and connecting with her community as a founding member of the Northumberland Contemporary Dance Collective. Katie is also a visual artist and owner of Moon House Art. She and her husband homeschool their four children in Cobourg.
