Epic Branding & Design

Here’s another batch of photos as the TELUS Health Care signage continues to be installed across Canada. We were replacing Medisys signage over the wood and had to come up with an on-brand way to not see the shadow of the logo on the wood, so we installed a grey panel beneath the logo.

This was a fun project for our clients at @caledonianordic who created a semi-virtual competition. Such a fun idea- they have designed a different cross country ski course for each week and challenged people to complete all of them for prizes and a completion medal. All socially distant and safe. We developed the medal design & event logo to complement the branding we developed for them a few years ago, some of which you can see in the last slide.

We recently finished these designs for TELUS Harbour in Toronto. They renovated two floors and needed TELUS-branded walls and meeting room glass designs to create partial privacy. All imagery or nature was selected as those that you would find in the area; ie local foliage or nature scenes. There were four small walls we identified as ‘values’ walls we included a flower and a value on each of those walls to add a pop of colour. I don’t have images of all the applications we designed for this project but I wanted to share what I have! #environmentaldesign #largeformatdesign

We recently launched the new website for Vancouver Society of Children’s Centres, with 16 locations. (vsocc.org) We are happy to partner with VSOCC as this is also my son’s daycare they have taken such great care of him and are such a well-run organization. We’ve been working hard on rebranding 15 medical clinic sites across Canada to ‘Telus Health Care Centres’. Here is the Toronto location, showing the beautiful raised lettering crafted by @pattisonsign. Each site has different needs which could be exterior channel-lit lettering, pylon signage, parkade signs, reception, glass and even signs in the parkade or elevators. We do realistic mock-ups of how things will look, work with the signage company and client, and provide press-ready files once approved. Keeping organized is key in a project like this!

Earlier this year we did a brand refresh for the @patquinnclassic youth hockey tournament for our client @sportburnaby. It’s big debut was meant to be later this month but covid happened, so it’s cancelled for this year. The good news is we have the ok to share this fun project. We’ve included a few snippets of the designs here, along with inspiration for the retro style we were after. The logo just needed a polish to clean up all the extra detail, before & after included. ...Our designer, Christina, did a few different illustrations of Pat at different ages, along with some players so we have the ability to create scenes with the puzzle-pieces. We introduced more colour in the form of some new icons, new fonts and some textures to tie together the retro look. We also threw in a bonus merch design since this event is known as ‘the classic’.
