At Epicure we are doing a Take Care Campaign launching today. It includes a self care challenge with gifts for our community, take care collection, ebook, and fun digital events. 2020 has been a difficult year for many, but how can finish off this year strong? What can we celebrate from this year? Which of these statements resonates with you? I am brave, bold and beautiful ... I give myself permission to pause I was not made to give up For me it’s I was not made to give up. This photo was taken just after we buried our son, who was born at 20 weeks. The parks were still closed, but we went down to the river for a picnic with our family and played in the water, caught minnows and crayfish, and enjoyed the sunshine. Our family was knit together even closer because of Life. He was so perfect, and tiny and we know he is alive and well with Jesus. But it doesn’t make the grieving disappear. We find joy in just being together these days, and I’m so grateful that Jesus made a way for us to experience this seeming loss as a victory. I will not give up! I will declare the Kingdom even more! I will rejoice and be forever grateful for our sweet son. Self care for me is found in His presence. Nothing else gives me lasting peace and joy. Self care for me is also just being with my family. Nothing makes me feel more fulfilled than being a mom. What does self care look like to you? #takecare #epicure
