Sometimes the best thing we can do is help someone feel heard. That's a gift we can give today. Mel & Matt are two friends who were there for each other when they needed it most. Listen in, thanks to our friends at Jack.org: https://www.youtube.com/watch

Warm weather is right around the corner! Spending time in nature is one of the best and most accessible ways we can take care of our mental health. Let our friends at Jack.org help explain just how incredible the outdoors are. https://www.youtube.com/watch

We are so excited to welcome Denny Burton to our EPIC team! Denny is our very first employee and we are thrilled to have him on board! He is excited to work with youth and was one for almost a decade! He sometimes teaches seminary and writes musicals. He graduated with a Marriage and Family degree from BYU-Idaho, and although he considers himself a master at Catan really only wins about 5% of the time. (We’re pretty sure someone else caught this fish.) ... Thank you, Denny, for jumping on board with us and for sharing the same vision. Now let’s change some lives! #dreamteam

The staff at our local RBC branch made a surprise donation of over $600 last Thursday!!! Every week they have a casual day, where staff can pay $5 to come to work in casual clothing. As a group, they decided that they wanted to donate the money they had saved, to EPIC! The amazing people in this community make our youth feel so loved. #thankyouRBC @rbc #commUNITY

We hope that if you feel inspired to do so, that you will set some fun goals and dream some big dreams for yourself in the coming year! Don’t forget though, to take a minute and praise the heck out of yourself for making it this far! Of course we all have room for improvementbut never forget that you are perfect just the way you are! You have been absolute warriors this year and we have been in awe of your strength! Keep being amazing and have a happy and safe New Year’s Eve! #epicyouth #newyearseve2020

EPIC received a Christmas miracle tonight that left us pretty teary and we feel like we need to express the gratitude in our hearts. A few weeks ago a community member approached us, asking us some questions about Epic. We didn’t think much of it, to be honest. Tonight they showed up with a cheque from the company they work for....in the amount of $6,450! To say that we were astonished, would be the understatement of the year. THANK YOU, Cassidy Reeder and Wilbur-Ellis Nutrition!!! We are always wishing we could do more for the youth we serve, and this money will serve them so well. Truly a Christmas miracle! What a beautiful way to end a difficult yearknowing we will be able to use that money to fulfill so many needs in the coming new year. #EPICmiracle2020 @tracey.reeder
