ICYMI: Our Executive Director is fostering-to-adopt a blind 2-year old cocker spaniel from an Egyptian pound with 900 in-need dogs. Anyone can follow Buddy's inspirational journey on Instagram at instagram.com/buddythewonderdog2020, as he let's others know that those with a disability can lead their best life (sometimes with needed modifications). Welcome to the team of Epilepsy Simcoe County Buddy!
As this year soon draws to a close, we need your help more than ever. What would happen if you could commit to donating monthly? $50 per month will help 4 women in 2021 get the support they need to avoid caregiver-fatigue, so that they can provide support to their epilepsy warrior. You don't have to wait until December 1st to give; find out more here > https://bit.ly/givingtuesdayesc #GivingTuesday
This month we have to say good-bye to our Board Member, Meagan. Some of you may remember Meagan as our previous Executive Director, and she has made our organization better through her passion in bringing epilepsy awareness to everyone. We are better because of her, and we will miss seeing her smiling face, and wish her well!
It is never too soon to start buying Holiday gifts. These crafts and preserves are usually sold at the Unique Boutique on the Homes for the Holidays Tour and m...ake wonderful Christmas and Hostess gifts. As the Tour has been cancelled this year and, as these crafts and preserves had already been lovingly made by our volunteers, we felt with should give everybody the opportunity to enjoy them again this year. Mark your calendars! We are back with our Facebook Live Webinar series and this time, we're tackling the topic of disclosure. Disclosure is often a difficult ...choice for people with invisible conditions like epilepsy to make. Who do I disclose my disability to? What are the consequences, if any, of disclosure? Are there any laws to help me in this regard? How do I disclose and when? These are just some of the questions that will be explored in this informative panel discussion followed by a live Q&A that offers three distinct points of view from a job seeker, a recruiter, and a lawyer. Epilepsy Toronto’s Employment Services Manager, Carter Hammett, moderates this Facebook Live event, which will include an interactive Q&A with the panel. Join him at 2 pm on Thursday, November 5th right here on our Facebook page. For more information about the webinar and our panellists, visit: https://epilepsytoronto.org/.../disclosure-dilemma-webinar/

They have raised $1,235 to date! Thank you to Barrie's Live Music Show for everything they have done this past week to support our agency!!!! We are now entering our second week of being their charity-of-choice, so please be sure to follow their page and check their Events tab to see (and tune in) to who is playing live each night. #CommunityMatters
So this is the other side of me that few get to see (especially when I'm in my role as Executive Director). However, with everything that Barrie's Live Music Show has done for our organization, I wanted to join in the fun and showcase the highlight of my morning. Enjoy and be sure to laugh....it's Monday!
Amazing! LIVE from the Barrie's Live Music Show!!! These are the brothers who started everything! Send them a thank you and show your support! #CommunityMatters
Thank you Dr Perry for mailing us this package; we will proudly display your information in our office. Thank you for providing excellent care to children, adolescents, and their families in our area!
