Foaling season is approaching us quickly and we’re getting super excited. At Equi9 we are expecting two foals this year and we’d like to share our excitement with everyone. If you correctly guess the date the foal is born and the gender of the baby we have a $35 gift certificate to Equi9 services available for the winner. The first foal due is Design’s. A lovely grade chestnut mare in our lesson program, we unfortunately don’t have a due Date but we do expect her to foal between April 5 and 28th based on ultrasound estimation at 5 months and time with the stud. The pictures are from the last 24 hours. Please one guess per person but please feel free to share and spread the fun and the joy as we look forward to inviting her new little colt/boy or filly/girl into the world.

Please sign and help draw attention to the plight we are facing. It takes 3 lesson students per month to pay for the welfare of one horse and if I can only host 4-8 students a day we can’t pay for their necessities. We are limited time wise with riders in school or working, we host normally 50-70 riders per month to make ends meet and the government isn’t increasing the money we can receive with this lockdown. There is no reason we can’t reasonably host small groups for lessons and social distance effectively. Please sign and share

The epitome of a red headed mare. Resting mare face, her own set of rules, and yet so much heart, fight and try that she would have taken on bears and mountains if she’d been asked to. I am going to miss this view so much, I could trust her to carry precious cargo, learn new activities with nary a blink and create just enough drama to keep things interesting. Rest In Peace my little Lottie, you deserve it so much

Equi9 11.05.2020

Knowing when it’s time to say goodbye is one of the hardest responsibilities of caring for critters. Indy was always so strong despite the weakness of his body, whether he was carrying a rider, keeping up with the other horses, telling the other horses to mind their space, or when he mistakenly tangled with a fence and was certain it was just a flesh wound. Indy was a go to horse for nervous riders and capable riders from the moment he walked into class, and I am so grateful that we brought him home and got to spend the last couple years of his life with him. He deserved every ounce of love that we gave him and more Fly high little man, you won’t be forgotten. Thank you so much Kaitlyn R Carter for the amazing photo session
