Backstory: My next adventure will be layering color together in a "Bob Ross Happy Accident" kind of way...and then allowing the piece to intuitively come together. Introducing "Hard Working Girl"! My fun experiment with color ...a contemporary meets traditional piece! She was purchased "in progress" so I tweaked the markings to suit my client's horse. "Dolly" aka Hard Working Girl, is headed to her new home in Saskatchewan!

Here is something fun i saw on a friend's page and "borrowed", lol: Usually i am surprised by what i do at work because i never actually know for sure what i am doing. There is a lot of pet hair floating around in my work space because of Decker - and sometimes my work is actually your pet hair. bahaha ok i would love to hear yours! what's everybody up to out there!

A FLASH BACK to 2015! Thank you to my lovely client for sharing her remodeled room that pulls out the colors of this painting. one of our Thoroughbreds, "Ackie", was my inspiration for this painting - an athletic "QH type" TB that floats like a butterfly! lol Rather smitten with that purple steel grey color...fun!

How much does it cost to get my horse painted? It is not a simple answer as prices are subject to size, subject, style, and quality of reference. If I have to "build" the painting and put figures together in a setting and make the light and composition all work it takes more time. If I am doing a macro crop (like the eye) they are a more accessible price point. My stock answer is: let me see what you have in mind, and give me a ballpark on what you want to stay within fo...r pricing and i will give you options from there. I am never offended by people's realistic price points. There are $300 options and $3000+ options. This much i will say...if i can give you better bang for your buck i will. I appreciate every inquiry and I respect every dollar people save to invest in something as special and personal as art. Thank you so much! Enjoy your day :) See more

Small commission completed! the blue is not showing up in this photo ...there is a soft blue shadow that is not registering in this blackberry photo, lol. That - and a good 7 km walk/jog in the books. It has been a good day. Sending good energy your way :)

In progress commission....and i should explain...i work "all over" the place...so nothing on this sneak peek is finished yet. Still tweaking all of the details and then will tackle this calf next. It is a gorgeous day with all of this sunshine so i think i will go get a power walk in! Enjoy your day :)

....sigh....the art cards didn't turn out. this was the 2nd attempt so I am switching to a new print company and will EVENTUALLY get these out to you....these are not "same size with white border" that i ordered....(I promised you the 6 x 8 not 5 x 7)....and with one of the paintings, the signature is cut off...which i could have dealt with...no big deal signing...but they are not the size i promised and their scan or printer is missing the mark with the color...so hopefully they give me back my money as i did not realize the size issue until i got home...and compared. Sigh. Oh well...small potatoes just wanted you to know i have been trying :) Also...they are nice people...things happen...but i want to get this right for you all. later gaters
