Chief my little red roan has decided that he doesn't want to spend his time in the pasture anymore he much rather spend his time out with his friends. So he found a way to do this. He lets himself and his apprentice Jorgie one of our babies from last year out of the pasture on a very regular basis meaning they get out and stay out all day. Tried putting them back which is a waste of time as they just get right out again. They both are in love with the donkeys and at times the...y think they are dogs. Come running when called and Chief has even walked right into the house as the pictures show... As a child I loved the Astrid Lindgren stories of that little redhead called Pippi Longstocking. She had a horse name little uncle that also lived in her house. As a child I wished I could have had a horse living in the house too I guess my wish finally came true after all these years... Even though its cute its not right so kids don't try to do this with your own horse as your parents most likely will not find it cute nor will they approve and they really shouldn't. I guess its time to rename Chief to Houdini one of the greatest magicians of all times and Jorgie to Bess which was Houdini's assistant...

UPDATE: So Jet was reunited with his owner. They sure look happy. So glad he made it home safe. I know I am somewhat late posting this but better late then never :-)

UPDATE: Jet is back. He found his way back to Rob's the owners friend in Rycroft. He will be reunited with his owner tomorrow. YEAH!!! This guy sure had one heck of an adventure. So glad that he made it back there.

UPDATE: Just for clarification. Jet took off int he Rycroft area :-(

URGENT UPDATE: So Jet the Border Collie we found was picked up by a close friend of the owner yesterday morning as she lives in BC and couldn't make it here herself. Unfortunately Jet bailed from there yesterday while playing in the yard with the friends dog. I know its a long shot but if anyone spots him please contact me so I can let the owner know. Here are the picture again we took so you know what he looks like. As you can imagine she is devastated and so am I. Its cold outside and I pray and wish that he is safe right now.
