On Wednesday, January 15th, the University of Waterloo will host a campus memorial following the crash of Ukrainian International Airlines Flight 9S752 in Iran ...to remember Waterloo PhD students Marzieh (Mari) Foroutan and Mansour Esfahani, as well as alumnus Mojgan Daneshmand, her husband Pedram Moussavi, a former post-doctoral fellow, and their children. The University has invited the community to join them at Noon on January 15th at Federation Hall as they come together to remember those who were lost and in support of their friends and family.

We have made available a book of condolences for the local community to sign. University of Waterloo students Mansour Esnaashary Esfahani and Marzieh (Mari) Foroutan were among the 176 people 63 of them Canadians who were killed when Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752 crashed in Tehran, Iran on Wednesday, January 8th, 2020. The book will be available from Thursday, January 9th through Sunday January 19th, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the lobby of the funeral home....
