The Doghouse is the place to be today. The Breakfast Crew, lead by Chef Stef, are dishing out cool bread bunnies to the students and staff to put us in the Easter mood! Now that's EASTERFABULOUS!

Well, Daisy and I have had a busy weekend packing and taping battery boxes to be sent into Call2Recycle next week. We can honestly say our ERES school community has responded in a BARKAFABULOUS way to support and make a difference for our future generations. We will have more to come about mid-week with an updated count of boxes and total weight in lbs and kgs! STAY TUNED and keep sending in your batteries. APRIL 21ST IS the Last Day.

Students heard from the Earth Rangers today at ERES via a virtual presentation. Theme was promoting working toward a better Earth through environmental changes for the better to save the planet. We are now into the Battery Blitz for the next two weeks or so. We need your batteries and please do not hold off to the 21st of April to bring in. Belated Happy New Year from ERES!

Dear Eliot River Families, We made it to the final day of school for 2020. It was a great day at Eliot River with lots of celebration of learning (and a little bit of fun too). We want to take this opportunity to thank you for your considerable support this Fall. When we started planning for an in-person school year in the midst of a pandemic, we had no idea how this would all turn out. Although there have been lots of changes to adjust to, it simply could not have gone b...etter. Your children rose to the challenge and impressed us all with their grit and determination to make our year feel as normal as possible. Thanks also for the kind messages, treats, and dedications that you have shared with our staff over the last few months; it has not gone unnoticed. We feel blessed to have such a wonderful school community. On that note, we are excited to announce that planning has begun in regards to the recent announcement for additional capital funding for our school. There was an original project that was announced last year that was based on an assessment of our building. This work will continue and will include many improvements to our building and mechanical systems. In addition to this, the new funding will include investments such as an elevator, a couple of additional classrooms, a multipurpose room, additional washrooms, and renovations to other areas in our school. More information will be provided once plans are confirmed but we are excited to share that the planning committee has already started their work. We want to thank our Home and School committee and the District Advisory committee for their tireless advocacy for our school. Our first day of school in 2021 will be Monday January 4th. When we return, the plan is that we will be continuing with our current COVID protocols (visitor sign ins, mask use, cohorts etc). Wishing you all a wonderful holiday! Well the doghouse is pretty quiet tonight as Daisy and I are relaxing. The students and staff had a great final day for the 2020 school year. As we reflect on the year, we are so grateful we are where we are. It has been a very different year but we were able to make the past 4 months as normal as they could be. We thank everyone, students, staff and parents for being united with the same purpose, making this a BARKAFABULOUS school year to date. Thanks for all the gifts broug...ht in over the past few days for staff from students and parents. We finished the day with some staff members delivering wreaths that were made by classes this week. This is a tradition carried on by Mme. MacDonald over the past few years. So from all of us in the doghouse, to all of the ERES community, have a wonderful holiday season and please Stay Safe.
