Beginning July 8th, I will be providing limited treatments every Wednesday from 10:45am - 4pm. All appointments will be held at the Danforth location of Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa. Currently I will not be providing mobile treatments or treatments at my home practice. I have truly missed my work, and know it has been challenging to push through these times without some of our usual supports, including Massage Therapy. I look forward to new beginnings, and being a par...t of your own journey towards building a healthier, happier you! SOME HOUSEKEEPING ITEMS TO KEEP IN MIND RE: COVID-19 PROCEDURES BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT: You will be virtually screened for your risk of COVID-19. Be patient and assess your needs. RMTs will prioritize essential/urgent patients first. Ask any questions you may have about the new public health measures in place. WHEN YOU ARRIVE: Arrive alone, as close to your appointment time as possible. Sanitize your hands. Wear a mask. Practice social distancing. I will verbally screen you for your risk of COVID-19. BEHIND THE SCENES: Thoroughly wiping down all service rooms and tools with approved hospital-grade or Health Canada's registered disinfectants and cleaning supplies. Cleaning and disinfecting all washrooms and common areas every hour at a minimum. Service providers wearing gloves during services upon clients request. Requiring all staff members to pass a Spa Sanitation & Illness Prevention course and performing a practical assessment to ensure they follow the strict guidelines we enforce, including proper handwashing. Pre-service employee health checks including temperature readings. Mandatory masks for all employees. All linens continue to be single service use only. A contact-lite transaction process including digital forms. AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT: Wash your hands. Contactless payment if possible (tap your card). Practice Social Distancing & other standard mitigation measures

*UPDATE (June 4, 2020): MASSAGE THERAPY PRACTICE STILL TEMPORARILY CLOSED This is a challenging time in many ways for many people. I wish I could provide some assistance to my community through my Massage Therapy practice.... Out of concern for the health and well being of both the general public, and my own family, I am currently not reopening my massage therapy practice. It is something I am and will continue to be reviewing. At this time however, I do not know when I will be resuming treatments as an RMT. I truly miss my work, and am looking forward to providing safe and effective treatments once I am back. I will do my best to provide any update to let you know when that is, as soon as I know. Until then, be well & take care of each other. If you would like to be referred to an RMT or any other practitioner for any specific or general needs, please do not hesitate to ask.

To all my valued clients, There is no higher priority than the safety of my Clients, Friends and Family. I am monitoring all communication from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and government agencies, to stay on top of this evolving situation. I continue to take measures to help reduce the potential exposure risk to my Clients, Friends and Family. I always have - and always will - ensure to keep my treatment space clean at all times... and disinfect all applicable equipment. At this time, I am also temporarily closing my Massage Therapy practice. I do not take this decision lightly. However, at this time, my wife and I are expecting a child. The research on the possible risks to pregnant women and unborn children is currently inconclusive, and so we are choosing to err on the side of caution and temporarily suspend my practice. Moving forward, I will re-assess things on a week to week basis. I will make an announcement once I re-open my Massage Therapy practice. Once I begin treating clients again, it will be with a strict adherence to any/all COVID-19 protocols. If I am sick or show any signs of cold or flu, I will contact my clients to alert them and to reschedule appointments. Clients with cold or flu like symptoms will be asked to reschedule without any fee. I will be screening clients during their confirmation emails to ensure clients have not had flu like symptoms or out-of- country travel in the last 14 days prior to their appointment. I appreciate your understanding and hope this situation will change soon for the better. Should you, or anyone you know require Massage Therapy, please do not hesitate to email me. I can try to refer you to a massage therapist or massage therapy clinic that works well for you in your area. Best wishes for continued health and happiness for you and your loved ones, Erik Sorensen, RMT eriksrmt.ca
