Heyyyyyyy everyone!!! I’ve been disconnected from social media these days... I’ll catch you up! March 13 - was a Friday that changed 2020 forever, we learned WPG had our first presumptive COVID-19 case. ... The next week I came to work I was asked to help with a ‘project’. Little did I know, this project would change my 2020 career. By mid April, my ‘project’ evolved into a role which was a apart of a team; the PRRT - Provincial Redeployment Recruitment Team. A team developed to expedite and plan on how to help staff the entire province for this pandemic. By mid July - I signed a new contract as I was seconded to now work for PRRT full time. Although I may not be front line, I must say... the last 6 months have been a marathon. This will be my 10th year working in healthcare (holy heck!!!) and this has been the most challenging year. No matter what role in healthcare, we feel at war. We are stretched thin, tired, and praying for the day we are able to stabilize the system to run things normally again. I’m missing you all dearly. I cannot wait for the day where I can pick up the camera and capture your precious moments!! Stay healthy, stay safe
