What scares you most about practicing yoga? Is it the journey into the unknown? The lack of certainty of what will happen when we start to peel back our layers? I can definitely understand.... Happy New Moon Everyone! We are in our final New Moon phase of 2020! And the first lunar cycle of our new lunar year! Wow, it's been an amazing one. ... A lot has happened, and we have all changed a lot. As we reflect on this past year it's literally the BEST TIME ;) to consider how we moved through 2020, and to reflect on the things we want to do the same, do different, and not at all in 2021. I am so happy to soon be offering a monthly membership program where we can share and grow together in an environment of safety, nourishment and complete acceptableness. I'm happy with how my plate turned out this morning, and I felt inspired to share. I find it hard to eat when I'm stressed, which had been a lot lately. Today I feel grateful for the energy and desire,,,,, and inspiration to create this beauty of a meal. ... And especially for the relaxation in my mind and body, and the softness is my belly that will allow me to actually eat it. Are you having trouble eating this holiday season? Ha interesting! I've been getting into my hip flexors lately. It's come with many benefits and gifts, definitely feeling more light and comfortable in my body! I spent 10 days stretching my hip flexors 3 times a day. Then I've spent another two weeks stretching them twice per day. And I keep going. I've been greeted with pain, feelings of concrete like blocks in my body, stiffness, and emotional release, lots of emotional release.... But everyday I keep my commitment. I keep going. I do my piriformis as well, child's pose. And now my massage therapist has me doing hip raises with the block between my legs, to strengthen my adductors (I think) and glutes! Everyday blessing my body more and more. My inner relationship grows and strengthens. I learn to trust myself more. I see how only in trust I can let go.
