Today is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, a day where we celebrate the accomplishments of women and girls in Science. Of course we acknowledge all the women in the industry of dentistry!

Gum disease is one of the most common dental problems adults face, but gum disease can begin at just about any age. Gum disease often develops slowly and without causing any pain. Sometimes you may not notice any signs until the disease is serious and you are in danger of losing teeth. Soft drinks, even the sugar-free ones, contain acid that erodes tooth enamel. If you must, drink them quickly and use a straw to avoid extended contact with your teeth. We do however, recommend sticking to water!
