And I'm super ready to start believing it! I made myself a promise when my daughter was born that she'd never hear me put myself down for my looks. Oh sure, we can have a laugh at some crazy bedhead, or decide that pair of pants feels uncomfortable today, but I don't ever want her to judge her miraculous body the way I judge mine daily without even thinking about it. Still working on that total self-acceptance!

Can you help me out with a quick poll? I'm working on putting together some packages for grads and their families, so that graduating still feels special, and they can celebrate their hard work to reach this milestone, even though it feels pretty different than usual. If you were the parent of a grad, which type of photo session would interest you more?... A) A totally custom session: I come to your location (your backyard or a nearby trail, for example) Your grad can have unlimited outfit changes (dressy, casual, sports uniform, one outfit you like and one they like, etc.) Your grad can show off anything that's important to them (musical instruments, sports gear, etc.) A longer photo session (45 mins) You get more photos, digital and print B) A grad mini-session: You come to a location chosen by me (I'll be shooting grad photos in the same spot all day) A short photo session (20 mins) Fewer images, but you still get both digital and print Less customized to your particular grad, but still great portraits and a great experience Thanks for helping me out with this!

I finished my photo-a-day project in January, and then put my camera down for 2 whole weeks. It's all been a lot, being shut down, staying home, managing online learning, keeping everything running and everyone's spirits up. Can you relate? I'm sure it's not just me who's feeling a little off.... But yesterday I had this idea pop almost fully formed into my head, and I really wanted to get creative and make it happen. I got busy collecting stock photos to create the background, and enlisted my kids for a quick photo shoot, and got to work! It was a lot of fun, and I'm feeling refreshed and ready to be creative again. I'm feeling cautious about re-opening, so while I am taking current bookings that I can shoot safely, I'm also booking ahead for later spring and summer sessions. What about you? A little bit of warmer weather has me throwing back to a great photo session I did this summer! People often ask what they should wear for a photo session, and the best answer is to wear something you feel great in! It looks really nice when a family is dressed in similar colours without being matchy. This session was so much fun, and honestly, doesn't the client experience matter as much as the final product? For me, it definitely does! I love this shot with the reflections, which can be cropped to use as a banner image, or used at this size, and there's even room for text at the top.
