Prenatal Classes are cancelled until after the Holidays Wela'lin

There is so much power in the simple game of Peek-a-Boo! It is engaging and so much fun and teaches MANY pre-verbal skills. Pre-verbal skills are skills that... babies need to develop before they can begin saying words. Peek-a-boo: Requires ATTENTION from your baby. Engages baby in EYE CONTACT. Helps baby learn that even when she can’t see you, you are still there (OBJECT PERMANENCE). Helps baby learn to IMITATE you. Teaches baby to ANTICIPATE what might happen next by listening to your intonation and watching your movements (RESPONDING) Allows baby to begin a game, so that you can respond (INITIATION) Practices TURN TAKING. Uses GESTURES (covering the face). Grows their understanding of LANGUAGE. Is a simple way to engage in PLAY and BOND with your little one.
