When I think back to when I first finished school, finished my apprenticeship, and got my red seal, I think... WOW I knew NOTHING. The curriculum in Alberta for hairstylists has not changed since I’d say... 1975. But who knows really. Finding a salon and mentor to continue to teach you and guide you is KEY to success in this industry. I was lucky enough to find that!... Here we are, 14 years later, I’m STILL learning, things are still changing in our industry, and I love it! I love that I can continue to learn new tips, tricks, techniques, and science behind how and why hair color works. I’m also thankful for technology, and the massive library of online education we have access to!
