An Interlake/Eastman Trio is making their mark at the Home Hardware Mixed Doubles Championship in Calgary. Congratulations to the team of Colton Lott and Kadriana Sahaidak from Winnipeg Beach, Manitoba for making it to the finals of this very talent-filled event! And congratulations also to a curler from just down the road in Gimli, Manitoba. Yes, none other than two-time Scotties Champ Kerri Einarson is playing with Brad Gushue in the semifinals this afternoon!... Let’s hope for a (nearly) all Manitoba Interlake final! Selena Njegovan (Team Fleury) is the obvious one. The second lesser known connection is Krysten Karwacki. Krysten actually played 3 games in our mixed doubles league as a spare during the 2019-20 season. For those of us who had the opportunity to play against Krysten, we were definitely on the receiving end of a teachable moment.
