February is flying by, and we are looking forward to Spring classes and hopefully with warmer temperatures some new class options. I'm hoping once warmer temps arrive that I can offer one outdoor evening class per week, so stay tuned for updates and information. Have a great Friday!

Well seeing in person classes won't be happening I thought it would be a good idea to do a little December challenge...... Essentrics TV has released some new classes as well as their weekly live classes. So I challenge you all to do one 30 min class per day for the next 25 days. A little gift to yourself this holiday season. ... I will recommend a class or go ahead and choose one that appeals to you on that day! Todays class was Season 12 Episode 02 - Hip pain relief and stretch. Enjoy! 24 more days to go! Have fun with this but most importantly move at least for 20-30 min per day.

Hi Everyone, I know I've been a bit quiet lately, just digesting not being able to teach, and trying to figure out what to do with myself. This is a great week to tryout Essentrics TV, Amanda Cyr master trainer from head office is doing a mindful week, her live class is free to even those who have not signed up, was very different but oh so amazing for actually feeling how your body actually moves in Essentrics. Amanda has dug deep and found three other workouts by various instructors on ETV and added them to her weekly guide and on Friday Amanda will be back for another live class. This is a great week to get in touch with your body and really me mindful of how you move. Essentrics TV is a subscription, but your first 14 days is free. Go and check it out!

Coquitlam.ca , Provincial health office has paused all indoor group fitness classes. Coquitlam has decided to suspend all registered classes till the end of November. If you need tips or advice on how to stay connected to Essentrics or fitness please feel free to contact me

Today we received the news that there won't be any classes in December. The PHO has not put out their new guidelines yet! We are hoping that come January we can proceed with classes. I know working out from home isn't ideal for everyone, but ETV is a great opportunity to try out different styles and instructors from head office. Even better, Season 12 is free for the US Thanksgiving weekend. Another great way to try out some classes and if you really like it you can sig...n up for a 14 day free trial before you commit to the monthly fee. Hard to believe we are just days away from NOVEMBER.....time flies! Registration is open for all November and December classes Nov: Tues -FULL Wed- 6 spots left... Welcome back to the NEW normal! School is back in session, many of us are back to work and a New normal has now set it, I hope everyone is adjusting and thriving. This week we have two indoor classes and two outdoor classes. Indoor classes are Tuesday and Friday. Tuesdays class is at Poirier Sports and Leisure centre, this is a registered class and it could possibly at this point be full, but there is a waiting list for those interested. The class is at 11am and the entran...ce is at the South West doors of the building. Fridays class is at Glen Pine, and fro 1-2pm. Registration for October classes opens this week, so please keep in mind there are only 10 spots available per class. I believe registration opens on Wednesday online. Current classes for September are pretty full but there may be a spot or two open and there is a wait list if you want your name there. Outdoor classes may run into a few issues this week due to the ongoing air quality. Unfortunately we are the second worst in the World, and with that classes may have to be cancelled. I am monitoring it and will update by 3pm on the day of class. Tuesdays and Thursdays evening classes will be at Blue Mountain Park and due to it getting darker earlier we will begin class at 6pm, from now on. I hope to keep the outdoor classes running till the end of the month if possible. Weather permitting! OUTDOOR CLASSES As we are getting later into September there will be a few changes. Indoor classes at Poirier Sports and Leisure, Tuesdays 11-12, and Glen Pine, Fridays 1-2pm. This means some of you wont want to do two classes in a day. I want to keep the evening outdoor classes for as long as possible, so we will keep Tuesdays at Blue Mountain , may be a smaller class but that is fine. The question is Thursdays?... I need to know how many are interested in Thursdays at Blue Mountain Park? Please reply below or message me. If there is no interest or not enough interest I will have to cancel Thursdays. So let me know your thoughts!

Its taken 5 years to achieve my goal, many starts and stops, and struggles along the way. Lots of self doubts, and then huge ahhs that made it all come together. I have had some incredible mentors and evaluators along my journey. I want to thank Jenny Bertrand, my level 1 and 2 evaluator, Milissa Rush my level 3 evaluator, and Inouk Boerma my level 4 evaluator. I received so much positive and helpful feedback, this will and has made me a better Essentrics instructor. Ot...her huge supporters along my journey include, Meg Feeney, head office in Montreal and how could I forget my loyal students and family that have allowed me to be vulnerable, and creative along the way. Today I am proud and excited to announce I am officially a Level 4 Essentrics instructor. The future is bright, the journey is forever and I am so excited to spread my wings. As this achievement sets in and the happy dance continues, I can only be grateful for all the little things that make Essentrics so special. The online community that is always there to answer the tough questions or suggest beautiful music, this community is absolutely amazing. To head office, Gail, Amanda, Meg, Maude, Sasha, (all those that I have forgotten), thank you for your amazing PCWs, 10 min, 30 min online workouts, your teachers corners and all thats in between. Your dedication to this art form and community is so special and makes Essentrics so unique. To the ultimate mentor and teacher Miranda EW, and Sahra Esmonde-White, you have created the ultimate platform and gift to each and everyone that is willing to embrace movement and allow us all to age gracefully. Welcome to September....wow where has the time gone. This month will bring some changes, in regards to classes. We will be returning to indoor classes. Essentrics will return to both Glen Pine and Dogwood (Centennial room). Starting Friday September 11 , 1-2pm at Glen Pine and Tuesday September 15, 11-12 at the Centennial room. These classes are registered and can be done online with the City of Coquitlam registration system. Each series will run for 4 weeks and things w...ill change and update as we go along here. This is a gradual re-entry into indoor fitness classes, we will adapt with Covid as we go. As for outdoor classes we will take it week by week, weather permitting. Tuesdays at Blue Mountain 6-7pm and Thursdays at Town Centre on the grassy area near the parking lot off of Pinetree see map in last post for location. $10 per class and weather permitting. So far this weeks classes look good and will run. Please let me know if you will be attending so I can plan accordingly. Tammy

So the Free class to complete my level 4 exam will be this Wednesday August 19, 5:30-6:30 at Good Neighbourhood Park. Thank you to those who got back to me. Your support is so appreciated. See you there !

Ill be offering a FREE class that will be for my final step in in my completion of level 4 exam. To all the students who have joined me with the outdoor classes this is for you. It will be held at Good Neighbourhood park. I have a few dates in mind: Wednesday Aug 19 - 5;30-6:30pm Friday Aug 21 - 5:30-6:30pm (rain?)... Saturday Aug 22 - 9-10am or 10- 11am If none of these dates pan out we will try for the following week. There are a few qualifications: 1. I need one to two students to be in the video , they will be on the outskirts of the shot, main focus is on my teaching skills. 2. You need to be able to go to the floor/ground. The last portion of the workout will be floor work, and stretching. A mat, yoga block, blanket or towel is something you will need to bring. 3. Willing to have fun and enjoy a free full body workout! Im looking for two minimum and a max of 10. The more real the class setup the better it will be. So if youre willing to come message let me know, and then if youre willing to be in the shop, again let me know as well. Thank you for considering!

Mondays Classical stretch

Hello August! We are back to our outdoor classes starting tomorrow. Tuesdays 6:30-7:30 @ Blue Mountain Park ( near the tennis courts) Thursdays 6:30-7:30 @ Town Centre... ( near the Orca, Lafarge lake) $10 per class e-transfer or cash , $15 if your a couple (family or friend) if you havent attended yet please message me there is waiver to be signed. Class is weather permitted, I will post by no later than 4pm on the day of class if there is a question regarding if the class is on or not. Any questions please feel free to message me

Looks like the sun has finally arrived, Thursdays 6:30-7:30 outdoor class is a GO! We will be just south of the Orca on Pinetree , this is just above Lafarge Lake and close to Evergreen centre. Free parking after 6 pm , I will see you around 6:15 to set up. ... Dont forget to bring your mat, towel and water, bug spray may be a a good idea as well.
