Just a quick reminder to those using our facility. We have new rules in place and new hours moving forward. We are working hard to keep the Centre a safe space for families to come and connect with their little ones. We are open mornings from 9-11:30 Monday-Thursday .... We will be closed in the afternoons for deep cleaning and toy rotation.

Posted @withregram @seed.and.sew We are often operating on autopilot, not aware of our body or feelings in the moment. When we can bring awareness to the present, we can respond with intention. Notice your child without judgement. Connect to collaborate rather than to correct.... When we are in partnership with kids rather than working from a top down, authoritarian approach, their nervous system will feel safe and be more available for collaboration. The key is that we aren’t judging them or trying to change, but rather simply noticing and helping them build their mindfulness muscle. Follow @seed.and.sew for more support raising emotionally aware kids

Hi Estevan and Area! We are at the Estevan Family Resource Centre are lucky to have connected with Estevan lawyer Kathryn Gilliss - Partner at Trobert Gilliss Law Firm. Kathryn has offered to hold a couple Estate planning information sessions for FREE in this New Year of 2021. Have you ever wondered if you have all your affairs in order when it comes to taking care of your personal and property decisions after you’ve passed? Have you ever wondered if your marriage or separa...tion has had an effect on your estate plans? Have you formally appointed a guardian/custodian for your children if you and your spouse pass away? Kathryn Gilliss is offering a general informational session that will help you understand what you need to do to properly plan for your family after you are gone. You can choose from one of two sessions on January 19 or 21 @7pm. Sessions will run for approximately 90 minutes and offer time for questions. Kathryn has offered these online information sessions completely FREE of cost. Why is it important to have a plan? It ensures a simple, cost efficient and organized way to transfer your assets to your loved ones. A properly drafted estate plan can: 1. Ensure you have appointed people you trust to look after your personal and property decisions 2. Help with the speed and efficiency of the transfer of your property 3. Determine how your assets are owned, organized and managed while you are alive. 4. Understand the difference between Wills, Powers of Attorneys and Health Care Directives. Your toddler is eating, and the food is obviously tasty. Do you: 1. Ask "Do you like it?" 2. State "Yes, it tastes good. I'm glad you like it." 3. Command... "Tell me 'more' if you want more." 4. Say the sounds or words your child is thinking "mmmmm", "yummy". If you want to help your child talk, give his thoughts a voice. That isn't "talking down". It's setting him up for success!

Don't forget to prioritize your mental health! We often find ourselves caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season. Find time to take moments to yourself and recharge. Reflect on what things are going well, what little wins you have had during the day, and be proud of those successes. You are doing the best you can!

We are so happy that we have the opportunity to continue to serve our community and be open to the public during this global pandemic. Moving forward, we have put a COVID-19 policy in place that adheres to the Public Health Orders. These safety measures seek to better protect our community. This is what you can expect moving forward when you arrive at the centre: -Upon arrival, only one family is allowed in the entryway at a time. ... -Each individual entering the centre will be actively screened using an Infrared Thermometer (anyone who tests above 38C will be not permitted into the building) -Once screened, the caregiver must sign in to our check-in book for contact tracing -Hand sanitizer is available for use at the entrance, as well as around our facility -Masks will be encouraged, and available on site in both kids and adult sizes -Try your best to physically distance yourself and your children 2 meters from others as best as possible -There is a designated snack area. -Be mindful to wash/sanitize yours and your child(s) hands as needed -A YUCK bucket is located on the red wall next to the kitchen for you to place toys that have been in contact with your child’s mouth/saliva -Maximum capacity for the Family Centre is 30 persons. This prevention plan is subject to modifications in accordance to the Government of Saskatchewan. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. We will do our best to keep the Estevan Family Resource Centre open and safe to the public! Thank you, and we can’t wait to see you all this week!
