Message sent to eTeam Ireland team members on April 30: Good morning eTeamers Trust this finds you all well and rejoicing in the Lord despite the covid-19 circumstances He is near. (Philippians 4:4-7)... Thank you for praying for the decision which we have made today. Thank you for your patience. Most of all, thank you for your willingness to take a step of faith, serve the Lord with eTeams and reach people in other countries and cultures with the gospel. I also want to thank brother Andrew Cockburn who was willing to be our Ireland team leader. We have made the decision to cancel the Ireland team as we already had the Ghana team. Despite the Ireland team dates still being 8 weeks away some realities have necessitated this decision including the following: Canada and Ireland continue to have travel restrictions in place; it looks like Ireland will continue its 14-day quarantine for those arriving until the end of summer; travel industry experts are forecasting much higher prices for flights when airlines start scheduling regular flights again. Of course there is still much uncertainty related to all these matters and others but we have to accept the situation and make a decision. Thankfully even though we don’t understand all this, we know the God who does. We know our heart and desire to serve. We know God’s desire who is not willing that any should perish and can trust His heart that so loves the world. A recent quote I read that I think is relevant: God is too good to be unkind and He is too wise to be mistaken. And when we cannot trace His hand, we trust His heart. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, eTeams has decided to CANCEL the GHANA eTeam scheduled for May 15-June1. Since the IRELAND team is not scheduled until June 26-July 13, another 12 weeks, and circumstances are changing everyday, we are delaying a decision until April 30th.
