We had a chuckle finding this Snowy Owl perched on a billboard featuring one of my photos.

My first photos with the Canon R6. I went out for a drive today to find some birds to test out the new camera body. This cooperative Downy Woodpecker was the perfect subject! I shot this with a 500/4 II and 1.4x teleconverter handheld out of my car window at ISO 800 (1000s @ f/5.6). My initial thoughts on image quality from this camera body are a wow... two thumbs up!

I feel so lucky to live in Canada and enjoy the freedoms many fought for in the past. In honor of Remembrance Day, I got up in the dark and trekked out to enjoy first light on the Georgian Bay shoreline. It was a glorious morning!
