Hello Everyone, I am reaching out regarding an on-going project I want to expand working in collaboration with The Canadian Centre for Abuse Awareness www.abusehurts.ca Abuse Hurts is a charitable organization whose mandate is to significantly reduce the incidence and impact of abuse through education and public awareness. Along with this they also receive in-kind donations into their small warehouse and support centre where women and their children (through local shelters) c...an come in to pick up much-needed #clothes, household items and #hygieneproducts. I have been working with #AbuseHurts for a number of years both as a volunteer and in their facility by helping them with donation drop-offs, pickups and a number of other duties. One thing that has been high on my list over the years is collecting in-kind donations and redistribute them to the agencies they assist. Recently Abuse Hurts has been receiving some surplus donations (mostly used) #clothing, #shoes, #boots, #jackets, household items, etc. As a result of this surplus, I have started to reach out to my network of shelters in #Toronto to co-ordinate the deliveries of much-needed products. Unfortunately, there is not enough to share with each organization. Due to COVID-19, the need for more products and support continues to increase - especially now with winter coming. (pardon the Game of Thrones pun). This new project is an expansion of what I have been doing with Abuse Hurts. I want to increase the collection of even more much-needed NEW surplus products and redistribute them to all #shelters, #outreaches and #Indigenous community support programs throughout Toronto and the GTA. The surplus products can come from any private individual and business with unwanted NEW #surplus inventories, #bulk loads, assets and related High Demand items. The big push is NEW, so if you have them or know someone who does, Abuse Hurts will gladly take them and more.
