Does anyone use lasagna layers a la permaculture to start new garden beds? If so, what are the first crops you put in the bed?

The Arboretum, University of Guelph offers a wide range of workshops and programs. Traditionally our workshops have been in person however, the current situatio...n has pushed us to create on-line programing. Our programs have been exceptionally well received. We have a number of garden and plant ID programs coming up on topics including: Wildlife Garden Design, Winter Tree Identification, My First Vegetable Garden, Garden Fundamentals and a free Ask the Gardener session, as well as a number of other nature-related programs.
