March is kidney awareness month. We decided we would do the fundraiser for it in memory of Cara-lynn L. Kenya is a kidney patient and her mom worked hard for the kidney foundation for her daughters sake. While Kenya has a rare kidney disease, (so rare I’m scared to try to pronounce it! ) her and I share something in common. We both acquired our kidney disease by getting sick with a virus. Many people aren’t aware that a virus can cause long lasting effects on your body includ...ing kidney disease. Also, as in my case, CKD can also cause the onset of diabetes. While type 2 diabetes is one of the leading causes of diabetes, very few people are aware that kidney disease can cause diabetes. The lowered kidney function prevents the body from expelling toxins from the blood properly and the build up of urea has been linked to diabetes. People commonly think I have kidney disease due to diabetes but actually. I had pneumonia at 2 years old, that caused my kidney disease (nephrotic syndrome) and that caused my diabetes at age 5. Please donate during the month of March for kidney awareness month. We will be canvassing the town as much as possible (covid safety being kept in mind) and Eureka The Everything Store will be collecting donations for a 50/50 draw (please donate, it makes the winners bigger!) the second place prize is a bobble head of Ron McLean and Don Cherry autographed! (Can be viewed in store) We also have Sidney the Kidney where you can donate $2 or more and have your name put up on the wall and receive a free pen. Also; with every $20 donation qualifies you for an in store discount at Eureka!! One more event is going to be announced soon.... please come out and donate. MARCH IS KIDNEY MONTH!! Eureka will be holding a fundraiser this year for the kidney foundation. We are doing this to honour Cara Lewis and all the hard work ...she put into this yearly fundraiser. Things will look a little different though. We will have a 50/50 draw set up (at Eureka) once the permits are in place and we will have cut outs of Sidney the Kidney that you can place on the wall with your name, in store. We will have other give aways as well as a donation container and of course information packages on how to be a donor. There will be prizes and giveaways and the more tickets sold the bigger the winnings! So come on out and support the Kidney Foundation. We have many kidney warriors in this little town of ours. As usual Eureka The Everything Store is supporting our local Artisans and we are proud to announce our newest addition! Autumn Roberts AKA Baby Boo, of Baby Boo Bath Bombs And Beyond. This amazing young lady started a small business of her own in order to help her raise funds to purchase a gymnastics practice ...mat at home. Being entrepreneurs ourselves I was very excited and happy to help support this young 13 year old lady in her efforts to become self-employed. Along with her amazing bath products we have many many new products that we have brought in for the Christmas season that we hope that you like and check out. Bringing in a physical picture of the item would be perfect if it’s a jewelry item.

HELLO EVERYONE... We will be reopening EUREKA! The Everything Store tomorrow Wednesday, May 27th through Saturday May 29th noon to 4pm. We will be adopting these hours fir the first 2 weeks we are open in order to allow us to work out issues in regards to the circumstances facing all of us. We will have hand sanitizer on the ready and we encourage you to use it. You will notice we have enclosed the cash corral. We gave a few other Installations to make so please bear with us.... We will be offering full sales service, all stock is available, we are also available for pawn loan pick ups. Unfortunately due to the circumstances surrounding used goods we will not be purchasing used goods or making collateral pawn loans during the first two weeks while we await the equipment we need to facilitate receiving used goods and storing them in a manner safe for everyone. We look forward to seeing you all again in the coming weeks. We are looking forward to offering our usual bargains and we have a few new ideas up our sleeves that we came up with during the shutdown. Good news for us and our clients. We are in process of renovations to make our store as covid 19 safe as we possibly can.
