Paint colors look totally different on-line and in their bottles. That's why our fan deck gets so much use from helping people with their colour choices. We also have true to colour paint cards and small paint testers that are great tools for making a big decision like what colour to paint your kitchen cabinets. Or if you have lots of projects planned you can buy your own fan deck!

Our customers donated more than $40 for Open Arms Mission during January. With European Pantry's contribution our Easter treats fund is sitting at about $60! Thanks! We are excited to see how much we can raise by Easter to help Welland families!

Now that the hectic Christmas season is behind us, it is a pleasure to pick up my paint brushes again! This week I played with Fusion Milk Paint to transform an old weathered ladder into a handy bright focal point for the store. The goal was to create the impression that it has been faded by the sun over many years. Technique notes are attached to the pictures.

Just having fun prepping food for New Years!

When do you take down your Christmas decorations? I go for a somewhat understated approach with one garland, one tree, an advent scene and a few colorful ornaments in key places. Not a lot to clean up. With being busy at the store up until Christmas and having our family gathering traditionally on New Year's Day, I leave mine up a few weeks into January. Each little vignette holds dear associations for me. What about you? Are you sorry to see the blind packed away? Or do you look forward to a clean slate?
