Thanks for participating in our quiz last week! Ticks can be found in wooded areas, leaf litter and tall grasses. They can be found in rural, suburban and even urban areas if the right habitats are present. Be tick aware wherever you are! #couldticksbethere #betickaware #yourvetknowsticks

We hope everyone is enjoying this lovely mild weather like we are! Just a reminder, if it is above 4 degrees Celsius the ticks will be out, active and looking for a meal. Today is a great example of why we recommend year-round tick protection for South-West Nova.

The wait is finally over and we can announce our new piece of equipment..... it’s digital dental radiology (x-rays)! Dental radiographs are quickly becoming the standard of care in veterinary dentistry because they are crucial for proper patient care. They allow us to find and grade periodontal disease more accurately, diagnose feline tooth resorption, diagnose endodontic (root canal) disease, determine which teeth require extractions..... the list goes on and on. We are so thrilled to be able to bring this technology to South-West Nova.
