Celebrating Christmas would be a little different this time but let's continue to spread love, peace and joy even with the help of technology. As of May 14, 2020, Alberta dentists are permitted to return to full provision of services. This is part of the Stage 1 of Alberta's Relaunch Strategy. As part of the healthcare industry that deals with patients first hand, we were given the Expectations and Pathway for Patient Care during the Covid-19 Pandemic document that will serve as our guide on how to go about the daily procedures specific to the Covid-19 pandemic. We are taking these measures very seriously and ha...ve implemented safety protocols that exceed the ADA requirements for workplace safety. Some of these safety protocols include, making sure the staff are taking their temperature and oxygen saturation everyday before we start working, answering screening questions to make sure we are not showing symptoms of the virus and wearing enhanced PPE for every procedure. We will be booking patients at less than the 50% capacity of the clinic and will ensure that in between appointments we have more than enough time to sanitize everything for the next patient. We will ask that all patients sanitize their hands before and after procedures. We have also installed high efficiency hepa air filters/purifiers in our operatories to effectively eradicate possible airborne infection. We have established an alternating work schedule for our staff to reduce the number of staff in the clinic at any given time and will continue to provide our team with up to date training and education pertaining to the risk and control of Covid-19 in the dental office. These are just some of the protocols we have in place to ensure that everyone's health is our utmost priority. Evanston Family Dental is open for any questions you might have. We ask that you call to book your appointment, rather than coming directly to the clinic. Please also check your email regularly for updates from us.
