When it comes time to choose a florist for your wedding or any event, my suggestion is always choose someone that truly loves what they are doing, because that love translates into everything they create. I believe today’s feature, Tanya List Design is someone that fits that criteria quite well. Tanya has had a crush on flowers for years now.... Flowers have always been part of her life and she’s been designing professionally since 2001. Her Muskoka-based design studio shows ...the love she has for every bloom. Her style is very natural and organic, perfect for all events in Muskoka and beyond. Tanya opts for locally sourced flowers whenever possible, some are even picked from her own gardens to create beautiful arrangements on event days. Tanya’s experience spans from 2006-2013 co-owning the #1 rated floral boutique in downtown Toronto. After the birth of her little girl, life led her in a new direction. In 2013 Tanya, her husband Ry and their daughter Reid moved back to her much missed and loved hometown of Muskoka. For those planning a rustic wedding in the country, the Barn 1906 is a beautiful option to consider. This private venue in Bradford, Ontario has been hosting weddings since 2015. Their recently restored heritage barn, which dates back to 1906, is an amazing location for having a truly stylish and special event with family and friends. This country venue is a beautifully manicured 113-acre property. The meandering stream, hardwood forests and the picturesque fields are great b...ackdrops for taking pictures or to simply breathe in the stillness of your surroundings. Much importance and initiative is given by staff to provide a unique experience that will encompass your personal touches within a setting that is truly serene, peaceful and beautiful. Onsite they have a large and spacious bridal suite and a gorgeous two (2) storey barn with a capacity of 150 people. Included in the cost of renting at the Barn 1906 is up to 15, 60-inch round tables and 14, 8-feet harvest tables, all of which were handmade from the reclaimed wood from the restored barn. They also supply three (3) Smart Serve bartenders that will responsibily serve your guests from our large custom made reclaimed barn board bar for the duration of your event. A 1.5 hour rehearsal is complimentary on the week prior to your wedding date. You are also welcome to come to the barn from 1 - 4 pm on the day before your wedding in order to attend to any last mintute details or to personalize your decor to your liking. This might even be time that is convienant for you to have your rehearsal. Parking attendants will make certain that vehicles arriving are seamlessly parked in their ample parking space. Many additional services are offered, which makes planning any event that much easier. They have everything under control from ceremony and reception to in-house catering and lighting, linens, and everything in between!
