As an environmentally focused retailer, we are excited to announce that starting Friday June 19th, reusable bags will be acceptable in-store. However, customers... will be required to pack their own purchases. As the CDC no longer recommends prohibiting reusable bags, we are happy to follow their health and safety protocols to ensure that our customers continue to have a safe in-store shopping experience while helping to reduce the consumption of single-use plastic bags. Another happy client is now generating their own electricity with this 5.58 kW array! The City is offering Edmontonians $0.40/watt towards the cost of their systems, which is roughly 15% of the cost of going solar!

We installed a heat pump in our own home. We are going to be part of the Eco-solar tour if you want to see it in operation.

It's tax season, don't forget to claim your climate action incentive. As an individual Albertan you are eligible for $444, with a spouse an additional $222 and $111 for dependents.

Ever wondered how much you can save on delivery charges by going solar? At E&G we've been analyzing the eGauge energy metering data for our net-zero office. In 2019, E&G saved $549.25 in delivery costs as a result of self-consumption of our solar energy during peak production periods.

The City of Edmonton is still offering $0.40/W for your solar systems this year. That's roughly 15% of the cost of going solar! Here's an excellent video explaining the solar process in Alberta. Call us for a free quote, we'd be happy to help you along your solar journey https://www.youtube.com/watch

Ever thought about covering your deck with solar? For this client we custom built a beautiful cedar pergola with bi-facial modules. Not only does the pergola generate electricity but it provides passive cooling for the south side of the house! :D

Thank you Janis Irwin, NDP MLA for Highlands-Norwood for taking the time to meet with us today to discuss energy literacy, net-zero buildings and solar energy.

The snow is sliding off this 11.97 kW DC array. Did you know that snow accounts for 5% production losses in Edmonton? Results from the NAIT reference array indicate that it isn't essential to remove snow from your solar panels during the dark, cold winter months as most of the generation happens during summer. https://solaralberta.ca//NAIT%20Reference%20Array%20Report

Our email account has been hacked. Not sure yet what the implications will be, working with Telus.

Still going strong with our 2019 installations. Hopefully the snow holds off for a couple more weeks.

Waiting for the rain to take a break and the City's rebate program to get going so we can get back to work. It seems we've done all the housekeeping we can think of. Customers have been waiting for this to start making their own power.

OK, so we are walking the talk a bit more. Warren installed 9.6 kW solar on his home, and has now taken the next step of removing gas. He has installed an induction stove, a heat pump hot water heater and an air to air heat pump furnace. All in an 90 year old house!

6 Micro-generation solar systems in the T5W postal code and we have 2 of them! One on our house and one on our office! Livi'n the dream!
