This winter will be a tough one for many families in our community. We are so happy to be working with the Slocan Valley Food Cupboard again this year to put together a Holiday Hamper for a family. Please join us in raising money for the Food Cupboard and you will be entered to win fabulous prizes from our generous suppliers like Virtue Tea, Mountain Sky Soap, and many more!

We’re trying something new. Pay what you can and all proceeds go to The Slocan Valley Food Cupboard and Smum Iem Water Protectors Society.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in March, Evergreen has adhered to all BC CDC and provincial government health and safety guidelines. We continue to uphold this order by asking that all staff and customers wear masks in our building unless they have a medical reason not to do so. For the safety of our staff, our policy will be to ask kindly, "Are you able to wear a mask?" if someone enters without one. And we will provide disposable masks for a small fee or reusable cloth ones for $7. We love our community so very much and appreciate you shopping locally, with us. <3

So someone stole an entire shopping cart full of food from Evergreen Natural Foods on Tuesday evening. We found the empty cart this morning at Crescent Valley ...Beach. Maybe it was someone passing through but if it was someone from our community I just want to say, if you are hungry, if you really need to feed your family, please just talk to us. We are human beings and our business supports 18 staff and their families. That being said, I don't want anyone in our community to go hungry. DM me anytime. See more

Hi Evergreen family, Serena here. Time for a little story. When my parents, Kit and Dave, bought Evergreen back in 1990, it was a dirt-floor fruit stand on the other side of the highway, beside the Esso station. They purchased it from a man I won’t name who has since left the area. When he saw Kit (pictured here) he said to Dave, It’s fine if you have a ch*nk wife but you should keep her in the back. 1990 might sound like a long time ago and yes, that man and his family left but we still have work to do in our community to make sure everyone feels safe and included. There is no room for hate. No matter your race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender identity, economic standing or citizenship status, you are safe at Evergreen.
