This 11,000 lb 16 ft long, 40"+ wide walnut log was too heavy to deadlift, so we used the truckbed edge as a fulcrum and two-staged it on. Then it had to be spun around in place, shown here. The partial hollowed base doesn't go deep, so it was still a heavy one. Rich sand loam soil here, so the heartwood is extremely rich color, and the sapwood is thin. Loading a 48 - 70" wide Canadian black walnut log to be loaded and sent off to the wide bandsaw mill for slabbing.
