Its come up in conversation with some of the members on how people prepare for the week differently. So I thought I'd share. Basically I'm lazy. I have lived single for so long and now that my son is out of the house my food consumption bill has dwindled. Or has it? ... Living within a stones throw of the school, my house ends up being the lunchtime hang out. Often i see that pancakes were made, noodle soup or KD. I always keep that stuff on hand as it's cheap. I dont personally eat it but the kids love it. Over the week when I make meals, I ALWAYS make extra for leftovers for lunch. ALWAYS. And so currently i have meals that either I or my daughter can take to work. - stir fry, rice and dumplings -beef barley stew - perogies and sausages -roast beef and roasted root veggies Plus there is always ready made packages of various fruits that start to turn so i cut them up and freeze. This weeks shake will be -apple -pear -cucumber -celery -ginger -spinach -scoop of greens I also always have frozen banana's because in the morning after my workout i ALWAYS have the same thing. 1st Breakfast about an hour before the gym. Eggs and one slice toast, avocado and tomato slice and coffee and devotions. Workout. 2nd Breakfast. Post workout shake. Peanut butter, banana, honey, Mila, almond milk and chocolate protein powder shake. Everyday, going on 13 years. Always the same thing because i am a creature of routine. Lunch is my largest meal. Supper i cook and pack up left overs in the freezer to cycle thru. Snack is usually tea with whatever i feel i need to balance my day out with. Sometimes nothing, sometimes something more substantial. Depends on my energy expenditure that day. But it needs to help my body prepare for sleep. On a high energy expenditure day i like to eat around 2400 calories. On a slow day, 1800. Never ever ever less than 1500 or i go below my BMR and thats not cool.

PSA LADIES. This is a real thing. As a trainer, I've seen so many cracks than I should have. But don't feel bad, I found out the hard way that this was a real thing when my male trainer said to me: "I see your wearing the purple one's today...."... And that is why you buy proper sizing and quality leggings.

As a single mom/parent, our world goes through some pretty major hurdles. Some leaving us puking in the toilet and a feeling as if someone was cutting our heart from our chest. But we cry out what we need to cry out. Join a boxing class and visualize that , get it out, exhaust it, and fall into bed to recover sometimes times it takes a day or two. When we get up, we put on our lipgloss and a nice pair of earrings, and start picking up the glass pieces of our souls and beg...in piecing ourselfs back together again. Then BOOM! Another blow in life comes at us and we repeat the cycle over again. This can happen over and over again, until one day we look at ourselves and began to say no more. I'm done. Pretty soon, we have these boundaries in place and no fly zones and we've developed a damn good right hook. Less and less pieces become shattered as life delivers it's unrelentless blows and we find ourselfs getting stronger. Point of this post? We've got a boxing bag at the gym and Bob takes a pretty good front kick to the chest. Just saying.... bobs pretty good at counseling sessions. And he don't tell no one SIDE NOTE: He's kind of a ladies man, so KICK HARD. Get your money's worth. Jennel
